Koz Law, P.A. (“Koz Law,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to kozlawfirm.com, our online intake and contact forms, and our communications with you by email, phone and text message.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you call, email, fill in a contact or intake form, or text us, we receive what you provide: your name, phone number, email address, employer, job details and a description of your situation.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the page that referred you. We may use cookies and similar tools, including analytics and advertising measurement services, to understand how the site is used and how visitors reach it.
How we use it

Text messaging (SMS)
With your consent, we may send you text messages about your case or inquiry, such as appointment confirmations, reminders about documents to bring and case status updates, and reply to texts you send us. You give consent by telling us you would like to receive texts, by signing an engagement letter that includes texting, or by checking the text-messaging box on one of our forms. Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent collected by Koz Law, P.A. are used only to communicate with you about your matter or inquiry. They are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and they are never sold. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, such as website hosting, email, document storage, case management and the telecommunications carrier that delivers our text messages, and only so they can perform those services for us. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, or with your direction. Information you share with us as a client is also protected by the attorney-client privilege and the rules of professional conduct that govern lawyers in Florida.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or a phone network is completely secure; email and text messages in particular can be intercepted or misdirected, so please keep texts to scheduling and logistics and use a phone call or a meeting for anything you consider confidential. We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above and as our professional and legal obligations require.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop contacting you by a particular channel. Reply STOP to end text messages. Contact us at the address below for anything else.
Children, links and changes
This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; their privacy practices are their own. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
